I have a confession here, kids. Yes, I do love food, grocery shopping, recipes, Food Network, kitchens, and eating in general but sometimes I eat the same meal over and over and over and over again. I have eaten this salad for five days straight. Yes, five. It is hard to get tired of a salad when it is just this awesome.

The goods:
- romaine lettuce
- kale
- avocado
- cherry tomatoes
- carrots
- dulse
- Celtic sea salt
- raw agave syrup
- lemon juice
- awesomeness

I just can’t stop eating this salad. Seriously amazing. I am totally in love.
In Oprah news, she did a great show today with Michael Pollan (Food Rules) and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) about eating wholesome, real food. Oprah was moved to do the show after she watched Food, Inc. — a movie I have been wanting to see since it came out this summer. Oprah has teamed with Amazon to offer Food, Inc. at a discount for $9.99 until this Friday at midnight. I will be ordering mine tomorrow. Check it out here.
Obama time!
I am sad I missed today’s Oprah. Do they have them online?
That does sound like a good salad! I would have never thought to use agave
Oprah.com has pretty good recaps of the show but I don’t think they have the full episode. Hopefully, it re-airs soon.
wow that is a great salad! celtic sea salt?! yum!
I have learned to add honey to my dressing (balsamic + olive oil) and mustard…love the combo. Takes away the bitterness in the salad
I haven’t tried dulse, but you make it sound great on a salad.
I completely missed that Oprah, thankfully it’s Tivoed at home. And I was debating buying Food Inc. I feel so bad never having seen it yet.
I have to admit, I was angry about the Kind diet segment. The diet sound great and all, but sorry I can’t afford shopping at Whole Foods for all my food! I wish they would have given some practical tips on shopping healthy on a diet. I know how to do it, but the lay public does NOT know how to do it. In my opinion, this segment was focus on just a small segment of our society. IT made me mad. That being said, I do think the diet sounds great. Of course, it’s a typical HEALTHY diet, and taking dairy and meat out of ones diet will have a different effect for each person. For Alicia, it did wonders, but it’s not going to be like that for everyone. Dairy free diets don’t clear up acne, studies have never shown this. Her body was just less inflamed, all together, therefore it really helped. There is NO direct link. Sorry…LONG comment!
Avocado on salad is always so good. Thanks for stopping by my blog – I think I’ll be getting some salad inspirations from here
I’ve still yet to see the movie..I really need to!
Food, Inc. is a great movie! I DVRed that Oprah and can’t wait to watch it! Oh, and I could totally eat that salad for five days straight. Yum!
I love salads like that too. So many flavors and they make a meal last forever. Plus, super healthy!
I just rented Food Inc and cant wait to watch it!
I love when I find the perfect salad combo. I am the same way if I find a combo I love, I repeat it for days!
I get on kicks like that, too! Unfortunately mine aren’t QUITE so healthy as yours. This last week it was hummus wraps for lunch. I’ll have to work up to that salad
I was super bummed that I missed that episode of Oprah–I had class:( Perhaps I can find it online somewhere…
Your salad looks amazing. I love that you can see the beautiful pieces of sea salt. YUM! I saw the same Oprah show and was really happy she was spreading the message!
